North Street Spaceshaper

This workshop brought together users and managers of North Street, Bedminster, a thoroughfare and neighbourhood shopping centre in south Bristol. The objective was to assess the quality of the space and provide an evidence base of stakeholder opinion to feed in to future plans for the area.
Facilitated by the Architecture Centre in partnership with the Southville Community Development Association and Baker Associates, the workshop trialled Spaceshaper, a practical toolkit developed by CABE. The exercise contributed to the ongoing aim of the SCDA to promote the long term development of North Street as a vibrant retail and leisure focus for the community.
