Eileen Gray: Designer and Architect

Film at Arnolfini: Thursday 9 December 2010, 18.30
£6/£4.50 Booking through Arnolfini: 0117 917 2300

This film looks at the life and work of innovative designer and architect Eileen Gray (1878-1976). Over 30 years after her death, her distinctive designs are still considered to be the very essence of the Modern. This film uses archival footage, in-depth interviews and Gray’s own writings to chronicle her artistic formation, bohemian lifestyle, travels, influences and relations with fellow artists and architects of the Modernist movement.

This screening is part of the programme of events around our Breuer in Bristol exhibition.
