Is the Green Belt sacred?

Debate: 24 April 2008

With rising housing demand and the call to build three million new homes by 2020, is it time to re-think our protected green field areas? Could Green Belt building provide a sustainable way forward, or there other solutions?

This event provides an opportunity to join the debate following presentations by campaigners from opposing camps: James Heartfield, author of Let’s Build! and director of Audacity, and Paul Miner of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England.
