Architecture Week is the national public celebration of contemporary
architecture. Events are taking place across the south west –

The Architecture Centre is regional coordinator and is hosting
the events below, as well as others listed in this programme.

GINGERBREAD HOUSES
Event: Saturday 18 June, 14.00 – 17.00
RWA, Queen's Road, Bristol BS8 1PX
Free, booking is not required.
Back by popular demand for 2005! A Hansel and Gretel edible house
is the stuff of fairy tales. This workshop allows primary school-aged
children to design and build houses from cake and sweets. A fun,
imaginative and delicious way to spend an afternoon.
PLAY BOULES!
Event: Wednesday 22 June, 18.00, Free, Booking not required
Queen Square, Bristol
The annual Architecture Week boules tournament is back, and this
year we're hoping it doesn't rain. Bring along your boules and
your picnic and reclaim Queen Square. No booking this year - just
turn up, find a team, and start playing. Rules are available from
The Architecture Centre.
THE BIG DRAWING
Event: Saturday 25 June, 13.00 - 16.00
Bristol Harbourside
Bristolians and visitors of all ages are invited to participate
in a group drawing activity, which explores the local uniqueness
of the Bristol Harbourside. Facilitated by local artist, Shani
Ali, this event will encourage drawers to observe and engage with
their local built environment.
