Architype is a practice that constantly seeks to push the boundaries
of sustainable architecture. The Hereford- and London-based firm
has been responsible for numerous innovative environmental building
projects in the fields of health, education and housing.
In this talk Architype director, Jonathan Hines, tells the story
behind two groundbreaking projects:
Genesis, the sustainable construction learning and resource centre
in Taunton;
and Springhill, the UK’s first new-build co-housing scheme,
which features in the Architecture Centre’s current exhibition,
Greenprint: Design for Sustainable
Living.
