LEARNING THROUGH THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT – A REGIONAL
GOOD PRACTICE SEMINAR
Thursday 4 March, 10.30 – 16.30
£35.25
The ‘Learning through the Built Environment’ seminar
forms part of a series of six co-ordinated regional networking
seminars by CABE Education in partnership with architecture centres
across England. The aim is to provide inspiration and an exchange
of information about best practice and the potential of built
environment education.
The events will combine keynote speakers and practical workshops
and are aimed primarily at teachers and other educators.
This event has two main themes. The first relates to inspirational
projects tackling vocational and citizenship issues – devised
for older students, whilst the second looks at educational experiences
that are linked to school groups and relate more nearly to the
national curriculum.
Speakers include: Nicola Lithgow (CABE Education), Mark Rooney
(Spacemakers Project), Lesley Broadwood (CITB), Tony Westcott
(RICS), Cathryn Spence (Building of Bath Museum), Jo McCaren (Seymour
House, Plymouth), Catherine Williamson (Independent Consultant)
and Simon Williams (RTPI).
