IS BRISTOL'S BUILT ENVIRONMENT BEING ‘MAN-HANDLED’?

Friday 14 May 12.30-14.00

Free debate

Speakers will explore the current role of women in the design, property and construction industries and the effects of their under-representation. More polemically, is the character of our environment masculine as a result? What would a world designed and built by women be like?

Organised in collaboration with Bristol Civic Society, the event will feature the following speakers:

Sandra Manley - Principal Lecturer, School of Planning and Architecture, UWE
Michaela Mobley - Marketing Manager, Arup
Linda Farrow - Director, White Design
Chaired by Louise Brown - Managing Partner, Laytons solicitors.

Each will give a short presentation, which will be followed by an open public discussion.
