PARANORMAL
ARCHITECTURE
Talk: Monday 25 October, 19.00
£6.50/£4.50 concessions
It’s nearly Halloween, so get into a spooky mood with this
talk on haunted houses. David Taylor will be exploring how our
sense of sacredness and the supernatural interacts with buildings
and architecture, and looking specifically at how psychology plays
an important part in perceptions of haunted buildings. He will
also look at the concept of buildings acting as psychic ‘tape
recorders' for certain events. Will the ghost of The Architecture
Centre be in attendance tonight…?
David Taylor is Chairman of Parasearch, which he founded in 1986
to investigate alleged paranormal activity in the Midlands. He
is an Accredited Investigator for the Association for the Scientific
Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP) and is a member of the Society
for Psychical Research (SPR) and The Ghost Club. He has spent
countless nights in a variety of haunted houses around the country.
David has appeared on television and has lectured widely on the
subjects of parapsychology, folklore and history. He is actively
involved with local history and conservation issues.
