Imperial House, Hartcliffe, was the UK headquarters for Imperial Tobacco. Completed in 1975, it was designed by American architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill with London based Yorke Rosenberg Mardell.
The site became vacant in 1991 and the factory was demolished. The remaining office building (Grade II listed in April 2000) has been subject to vandalism and fire and is now in a dilapidated state.
This exhibition shows how Urban Splash with Acanthus Ferguson Mann propose to transform this derelict building and overgrown landscape into a stunning example of urban living, and will look at the wider aspects of regeneration in that part of South Bristol.
