2 new major cultural buildings planned for Bristol by the City Council and two very different architectural practices.

Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England Bristol City Council is creating two new cultural buildings within the city centre, investing in the city’s urban fabric and actively seeking to raise the level of new architecture in Bristol.

Situated at either end of St Augustine’s Reach, the new Museum of Bristol and Colston Hall Foyer will Colston Hall - Approach2 exhibitionreinvigorate sites which resonate within the memories of Bristolians; adding 21st century facilities, new public spaces and a touch of glamorous new design. This exhibition will explore the different approaches by architects Lab Architecture Studio and Levitt Bernstein to the design of new public buildings and stimulate discussion on the importance of good architecture to the sustainability of cities.
