BUILDING
THE BBC
Exhibition: Tuesday 5 August - Sunday 7 September 2003
The BBC is a British institution, still producing creative and
informative programmes and services after 81 years. But it's about
time Auntie Beeb had a facelift - a massive architectural adventure
undertaken in the quest for buildings to match the modernity of
programme output. Across the country, from Norwich and Leicester
to Leeds and Glasgow, BBC buildings are being built, developed
and designed. Building the BBC documents this ambitious three-year
project, which concentrates on putting the BBC back into the heart
of the community across the UK, demanding the highest quality
architecture and design, and providing the best workspaces to
inspire and motivate its staff.
