TOMORROW'S GARDEN CITY

A sustainable approach to modern living

Exhibition: Main Gallery

18 March – 8 June, 2008

Letchworth, the world’s first Garden City, was designed in the early twentieth century as a community that would combine the positive elements of both town and country living.

Reflecting this pioneering spirit, an international design competition was launched in 2007 to design a prototype sustainable housing module to be incorporated in a future Letchworth development. Prize-winning designs by Stride Treglown, for an eco-friendly module house, are displayed alongside other shortlisted entries.
