NIGHT VISIONS - EXPOSING THE CITY BY SODIUM LIGHT

’My inspiration for these images has developed through seeing familiar places and structures transformed when lit by the ubiquitous sodium filled streetlight. Man-made spaces and objects after dark become dreamlike, when left empty and unused by people. Concrete, brick, tarmac and steel are my ingredients in challenging perceptions, and creating interest from unusual as well as more familiar corners of the urban landscape’ Simon Doling

The prints on display were shot using traditional film, then scanned with some colour correction and finally output as colour inkjets
