Local authorities
The Architecture Centre aims to support local and unitary authorities in achieving design excellence for their area. We do this through providing information, training and professional development, as well as informal events and exhibitions.
Our Design action programme is specifically aimed at built environment professional in the public and private sectors with specific activities from local authorities officers and elected members.
We offer support to elected members who act as design champions for their local or unitary authority, through our Design champions programme.
Councillors in the key growth areas may be interested in the Design Leadership programme developed with CABE and Creating Excellence, offering a route to design excellence.
We can also offer local authorities tailored programmes of training and professional development which address key issues of current concern.
