Spaceshaper 9-14

What is Spaceshaper 9-14?
A workshop based toolkit for involving young people in improving their local spaces.
Spaceshaper 9-14 has been developed to ensure that the voices of young people are heard. It follows the success of the original Spaceshaper as a practical toolkit to measure the quality of a public space, before investing time and money in improvements.
Spaceshaper 9-14 engages young people in a structured range of hands on activities and facilitated discussion, gathering useful data, which can directly contribute towards improving a space as part of a wider consultation process.
Spaceshaper and Spaceshaper 9-14 are now being used nationally and internationally as a good practice method in community consultation on the development of public spaces.
This is a partnership project with beam, and the Kent Architecture Centre.
